One Day events are pop-up boutique guitar stores. The builders and manufacturers we represent are committed to the highest quality in their products.
We love quality, we admire craft, and we support innovation.
We are setting out to put instruments and gear in the hands of players in all walks of life. Many of the builders we work with build custom guitars built one at a time according to a customer’s spec, others build small batches of instruments. Both of those cases make it hard for players to try them out and know what the caliber of a build can be. We are making these rare and custom instruments available for demoing and getting your hands on.
My personal experience was one of pouring over hundreds of photos on the internet of guitars that looked exquisite but never being able to rationalize the price with a mindset of “are they really that much better?”. Well, eventually I put my hands on one. And yes, they are. I had to save money and wait for my guitar to be built, but after playing a guitar built by that company I knew the time and wait were worth it. Experiencing the difference was the key. A lot of guitars look pretty, but they don’t all have the feel. You’ll never know until you put your hands on it.
The staff at One Day events are trained and equipped to help you find the builder to fit your preferences and guide you thru the custom ordering process when you decide to buy. We also have a stock of instruments and accessories (straps, cables, pedals and amps) that are available to purchase and take home the day of the event.
